Product description
A vitreous enamel disc, slightly raised, with two sterling silver leaves. The leaves have been textured using real garden leaves and their stems go on to form the twisted bail. Lead free enamels are used.
The leaves on the disc have been shaped to fit its contours. As each pendant is individually handmade, the pendant you receive may differ slightly from the one shown.
Vitreous enamel is a process dating back to the ancient Egyptians.
It is finely powdered glass that is fused together on copper, using heat fired in a kiln.
Each of my pieces will have been fired several times at temperatures in excess of 800 degrees centigrade to build up a unique layer of colour.
