At Water Street Gallery we represent established professional practitioners, while we have an eye for art graduates, and up and coming artists. Artists new to the gallery also have opportunities to exhibit in our open exhibitions, and are frequently slotted into our themed exhibitions.
We maintain good stock of works should there be interest in a particular artist or genre, which will shortly be available on screen in the gallery.
Now in our 9th year we have established (in spite of two floods) three dedicated exhibiting spaces, the main gallery, lower gallery and the print / craft / gift gallery, not forgetting the mezzanine space.
Exhibitions change in all three areas on a monthly basis, with the exception of our Winter Season Open running for 3 months.
As artists ourselves we have a wealth of artistic knowledge and are open to discuss with customer the art, artists, and art in general, engaging in the art experience. We welcome all, whether collectors, first time buyers or browsers and the curious.
2018 exhibitions will continue our high interest, standards and variety, with solo, mixed and themed exhibitions.
A stand out show will be one which rings the changes from the popular Small Works Winter exhibitions ‘Amazing Rare Things’ - an open ended theme, and opportunity for artists applications, though we will still run with our ‘Postcard Art’ exhibition.
Equally solo’s shows with Lisa Naylor, Paul Finn, Lucy Atherton, Adrienne Craddock, Valerie Wartelle and Martin Hearne a keenly anticipated, as is collaborative exhibition with the West Yorkshire Print Workshop. The Summer months will feature new works from our Gallery Artists, plus some invited.

On our agenda is to expand on our ‘Meet the Artist’ and develop our events programme, given time.
