Emma lives near Rochdale Canal and often walks along the canal photographing nature and wildlife. When walking around Rochdale, Salford and Manchester, seeing patterns, negative space, contrast in colours and using the inspiration to create artwork. With an interest in buildings, old and new and construction.
Photography is a constant and using images to influence artwork or the photograph becomes the artwork.
Always experimenting and learning, but the influence remains constant. To create patterns from something that sparks an interest and seeing where it goes. That’s where the excitement is.
