Grassmere Triptych porcelain and platinum framed 03

Product description

I create handcrafted contemporary ceramics made out of porcelain, I decorate my piece by layering underglazes, glazes and metallic lustres. My work is inspired by the textures found within nature, the ever-changing light across the landscape and a muted colour palette from beautiful sunsets.

I photograph and sketch landscapes and these drawings are translated onto the clay like a canvas and then the piece is created.
Contrasting torn rims and raw unglazed exteriors with decorated details and glossy glazes finished with touches of real platinum lustre, gives my collection of work a modern rustic element, inspired by the Wabi-Sabi aesthetics.
