Amid global turmoil, art is a vital source of hope and reflection.
This winter exhibition brings together symbolic and meditative works alongside pieces that speak directly to the longing for peace.

Featuring painting, print, sculpture, lens-based work, ceramics, textiles, calligraphy and poetry, it welcomes all cultural and spiritual traditions.

Look for the installation of 1000 birds – an interactive project supporting UNICEF UK and young victims of war.

This companion show to Prayers for Peace showcases small-scale works across all media: painting, prints, collage, sculpture, ceramics, and more — from landscape and still life to botanical, narrative, expressive and abstract.
Its intimate scale offers wide variety and affordability, including postcard pieces, making it ideal for both new and regular collectors. A perfect chance to acquire meaningful works by established and emerging artists for the festive season.

A Solo Exhibition

Celebrating his 70th year, Todmorden artist Barry Cook presents a vibrant solo exhibition inspired by Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Colorful mixed media paintings and 3D works fill Water Street Gallery with energy and imagination.
Explore scenes like the bustling marketplace, the Ox Cart, the Great Gate of Kiev, and Baba Yaga’s bizarre chicken-legged clock. Barry’s art captures vivid characters, rich settings, and the mythical essence of Poland, Paris, Rome, and Russia. Atmospheric, amusing, and occasionally unsettling—this is narrative art at its finest.
