Fix Your Hearts (editions 1/8)

Product description

This print was accomplished using hard lino, oil based ink and a tone of patience. First I drew out the design with coloured pencils before refining with a graphite pencil. Then I transferred the image onto the lino via trancing paper. Before cutting the design I went over the traced image with inking pens to define and fix any areas the transfer missed. After cutting, the design was then printed on Khadi handmade paper (320gm). I wanted to print on this paper as I liked the uneven edge, texture and off white colour. These characteristics, to me, gave the feel of my print being from the medieval/Renaissance era.
