Karen Billing is an illustrator originally from the UK but now living in the West of Ireland.
Her work to date includes private commissions for murals the largest being 16x8 foot for the Douglas Village Shopping Center West Cork and many solo exhibitions in this area also
She has written and illustrated a children's book "I am Lindy Loo" which describes a day in the life of a little girl with autism.

Karen's influences are drawn from the icon paintings of Russia, she finds the simplictiy of line and the strength of emotion evoked intriguing.
Her colour choices are always vibrant and enjoys the texture mixed media materials provide and which are often harvested from her previous her images which are then layered-up and intensify with elaborate patterning. KB
