Colin has brought together an intriguing mix of paintings and location sketches made from his exploration of the urban edges of the Bridgewater and Rochdale canal system. The paintings capture the varying colours and character of the edgelands alongside the waterways, whilst the drawings focus on the differing architecture of the townships he found en route.

Much of his art shows highly emotive responses to places and events, and this is particularly evident in his semi abstract paintings of compositions of colour, texture and expressive mark making.
