Susan Wright

Susan is an artist/printmaker from Halifax, West Yorkshire, where she has a studio. Her roots lie in the varied landscapes of West Yorkshire and this has influenced her exploration of drawing and mark making.  She studies for BA (Hons) Fine Art in Leeds College of Art, and more recently MA Creative Practice.

Wright’s works  closely reflects her subject, frequently informed by areal maps as in her ‘Winter Notebook’ series, or distant making of the earth and moon. Relief works literally add another dimension, where the surface is built up and layered, telling visual stories about new imaginary places and landscapes.
