"I feel I could fall into the category of 'outsider art' as my work does not fit into conventional categories and I have had no formal training. I instinctively put things down on paper or canvas and trust my gut, dreamlike images emerge without any planning that have a sense of surprise and mystery.
I am drawn to aboriginal art and its many varied symbols, and find these seeping into my work. Animals and strange mythical creatures often drift in and out of the paintings .
I thoroughly enjoy finding expression for my feelings and thoughts in painting and like a very spontaneous and unplanned approach, which is the only way I can work."
