The Golden Apples of the Hesperides

Stealing three of the golden apples from the tree was the 11th challenge Hercules had to fulfil.
The Golden Apples were heavily guarded by a fearsome serpeant and cared for by the Nymphs of the Hesperidies.
This was his 11th task and he succeeded despite the obstacles he had to overcome.
I wanted to show the lure of the gold as it might have been at first sight before the fearsome obstacles made their presence known.
