These watercolour works are small distillations of the layering and sedimentary processes of larger paintings and three dimensional works. They reflect an interest in the shifting relationships between colour and gesture, establishing a confection of simple decorative beauty.

Concentric circles, like ripples in a watercolour pond, offer an ornamented expanded jewel like motif. Each is different but each shares a rhythm and beat. Postcards are accessible, they can carry a shorthand but nevertheless potent and precise message to be delivered.
