The facsimile of the Annunciation by an unknown German woodcutter, is from a portfolio of copies

I inherited from my great-great uncle Henry Guppy who was a librarian at the John Rylands Library, Manchester for some 40 years. 

To me this print sums up the appropriating of other artists works, being 3rd in line from the original.  It triggered a multiplicity of abstract spatial ideas which coalesce in this and other works in a series 'Soundings', all using prints from the collection of Saints.
