Product description
An acorn , glimpsed at the moment it hits the surface of a woodland stream.
These paintings are reflections on seasonal change and dying growth providing the seed of new life. Fox Gloves, and Winter Borders were made in my own front garden. The third illustrates a memory from a recent woodland walk, of acorns landing in a stream. Although the inspiration has a narrative and is site specific, the loose handling of the paint invite an element of abstraction in order to capture a sense of movement, plants swaying in a breeze, the moment the falling acorn hits the surface of the water.
