Blue Waves

Product description

Waves making their way to the sandy beach reflecting all the blues of the sky.

Fascinated by the sea and it’s meditative qualities, she spends a lot of time walking along the coastline of the North East of England taking in the salty air, finding inspiration and making sketches of the ever changing waves.

Very excited by how colour can affect mood, she feels it leads her to create images that are part observation and part imagination as she plays with manipulating colours to create uplifting images.

Combining these uplifting colours with textures and lines taken from her sketches and paintings of the sea, she works in multiple layers of Lino reduction print making the limited editions of prints all the more special as they cannot be replicated again in the future.
