Maria Boyd creates highly stylized original watercolour and ink paintings. Her preferred subject is nature and wildlife and this is juxtaposed against a riot of pattern all brought together with her distinct colour palette.

“Nothing gives me greater pleasure than coming home from a walk clutching a bunch of leaves and or desiccated weed heads that has sparked my interest. Pattern plays a huge part in my work and I enjoy juxta posing natural forms with highly patterned grounds.”
