The timid and elusive red squirrel is one of the most loved of woodland animals in Britain. Its russet coloured, cheeky little face is represented in this embroidered and hand painted Red Squirrel brooch.
Nestled amongst layers of warm clothes on an autumn day or peeking out from under a lapel of a jacket, this happy little squirrel face is easy to wear with any outfit and will always attract attention.
This squirrel is made from layers of fabrics that are embroidered and painted to create a three-dimensional effect. The reverse is backed with soft felt and the edges are sealed so that the fabric does not fray. The brooch is lightweight, soft, flexible and fairly robust so very easy to wear on any garment.
Due to the hand-crafted nature some variations may occur. I believe this is what gives every little squirrel its unique character.
