Julia’s paintings tend to be very moody and atmospheric, or even quite dark and brooding.
Julia’s technique of subtle blending of either oils or acrylics, lends itself to an impressionist style.
She would rather paint an impression of a place, with the paintings bathed in a ‘half-light’, than sustaining a true reality.

This particular painting depicts a rather dramatic sky in soft muted tones with the onet of Autumn approaching, just outside my home town of Horwich, Lancashire.
