The Light Within pot was formed from local clay and plant fibres, bisque fired and then raku fired with a copper and cobalt rich lustre glaze which, when removed from the kiln at 1038 degrees C, and put into a bin of combustible material, causes the beautiful colours to form in the reduction atmosphere, and the outer unglazed clay body to turn smoked black.
