This unique designer jewellery is made with slate sourced from the Lake District of Cumbria.
Slates are sedimentary or volcanic rocks laid down up to 450 million years ago.
These are the nearest quarries close by the Solway Estuary on the Northwest coast of mainland UK. The workshop which is situated in Dumfries, Scotland.
We use black, green and pattered slate that is cut, shaped and polished, then inlaid with silver of bronze to compliment the design. They have a smooth tactile finish with a soft lustre to enhance and accentuate the natural patterns and colour hues of the slate.
This jewellery is surprisingly lightweight, but strong and easy to wear.
