Colour has always played a large part in my life and I love to design new collections around textiles and architecture that I see around me.  A brief fling with basketry brought the ideas of weaving and texture into my work and it is probably one of the most influential crafts I have practised.

Having recently moved from Scotland to Devon, I find that the light is quite different and my work is changing subtlely with the views of sea and sky that I see from my workshop.

I have been working with silver plated and enamelled wire for nearly ten years and love the versatility it offers and range of colours.  Recently, I have experimented with other metals such as aluminium and stainless steel.  Occasionally, I add other mediums such as rubber and fibres to add contrast to the metals.
